AP Dainius Zubrus (8) is out 4-6 weeks with a leg injury.
Devils center Dainius Zubrus, who was struck in the right leg by a Kevin Klein shot Thursday night in Nashville, is out 4-6 weeks with a hairline fracture of the patella.
Zubrus, who returned to New Jersey rather than accompanying the team to Dallas, has been placed on injured reserve and was to undergo surgery Friday evening.
He has a hairline fracture of the patella and they're going to secure that rather than put it in a cast -Lou Lamoriello

When rookie defenseman Tyler Eckford hopped on the Devils' bus Wednesday morning to head to the airport for the team's flight to Nashville, he saw a lot of familiar faces.
Eckford was one of eight players on that bus who played for the team's American Hockey League affiliate in Lowell, Mass., either last season or this one.
Seven of those players were NHL rookies — Eckford and fellow defensemen Mark Fraser and Matt Corrente and forwards Niclas Bergfors, Matt Halischuk, Tim Sestito and Pierre-Luc Letourn

It is fitting that just a week ago, Devils General Manager Lou Lamoriello was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame 2009 class.
His peers praised him for his foresight as a builder of champions, taking a franchise in New Jersey that had no history, no prior success, and turning it into a mini dynasty over a 10-year period.
What Lamoriello does is defy logic.

The 10th annual induction ceremony of the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame will feature a distinguished group of former players and managers, including for the first time an incumbent member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.
A reception for the Class of 2009 is this evening at the Cape League's Hall of Fame at the John F. Kennedy Museum in Hyannis.
